One goal of mine is to someday learn to read the New Testament in its original Greek. I hope to allocate a "semester" to go through this textbook. It comes with a CD-ROM that has the pronunctiation.

This is the workbook for learning New Testament Greek. YOU KNOW HOW YOU HATE IT WHEN YOU GET AN EMAIL WRITTEN IN ALL CAPS? Well, the original New Testament manuscripts were written in all caps, with no punctuation, and no spaces between words. Greek lowercase scipt, punctuation, and spaces were introduced in later manuscripts.

A very good "take to church" and also "study at home" Bible. It has notes placed throughout the text that offer insight into passages. Philip Yancey wrote the notes for the Old Testament. His study of the Old Testament prompted him to later write The Bible Jesus Read

This is the Bible that I originally used when I led a youth group. It is geared for younger teens. Older teens will probably appreciate the Student Bible or a study Bible.

A good dictionary - and every personal library should have a dictionary. I found that I needed one after reading some of Yancey's books. I did not know what condescension meant.

My number one recommended reading for Christians dealing with the subject of homosexuality. It was produced by The Alliance of Baptists and also the Baptist Peace Fellowship of North America.

Probably the best Star Trek: The Next Generation book. It is very good.
