Many times, the keyboard is faster than the mouse. Learn and practice the following commands to double your speed.

CTRL+Z         Undo your last action.

You can highlight things with you mouse, but the fastest way to highlight everything is:

CTRL+A         Select All.

The quickest way to edit things and paste them again, is by holding your pinkie on the CTRL key, and using the three letters X, C, and V to cut, copy and paste.

CTRL+X         Remove the selected items and copy them to the Clipboard

CTRL+C           Copy the selected items to the Clipboard

CTRL+V          Insert the contents of the Clipboard at the selected location

 
ALT+TAB        Switch between programs
CTRL+TAB    Switch between windows within one application

In almost any program in Windows, you can use the mouse and the keyboard together. The best examples are:

CTRL+DRAG   copy an item
SHIFT+CLICK    higlight text
