Twosocks <3

Twosocks was brought home to be a friend for my lonely Ratty. The moment I saw her at Petco, I knew I wanted to bring her home. Unfortunately, when I brought her home, I was still ignorant about rat respiratory problems. I had no idea my little baby was sneezing because she was sick. I thought she was sneezing due to being in a new environment. I waited too long to take her to the vet, and the round of antibiotics didn't do anything for her. She was still as energetic and loving as ever, but a day after she was off her meds, she was lethargic. Again, I thought she had just worn herself out. The next morning, I discovered her still laying down. I brought her out of the cage to hold her and called the vet. The moment I got off the phone, my little Twosocks took her last breath. I am still devastated by losing her. If only I had looked into rat health problems more :( I'm sorry baby Twosocks. You didn't deserve to be let down like that :(

Twosocks got her name from her two front feet. They had little white "socks" like the wolf in "Dances with Wolves."

I brought Twosocks home on April 6, 2006. She passed away on April 25, 2006.

Twosocks Facts:

She was the friendliest rat I have ever been around.
She was and still is my favorite ratlet.
She slept in her food dish.
I miss her dearly every day.
