Sourdough Popovers

  •     1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
  •     1/2 teaspoon salt
  •     1/2 cup sourdough starter
  •     3 large eggs
  •     1 cup milk
  •     1 tablespoon melted unsalted butter
Stir together the flour and salt.

Whisk together the eggs, sourdough starter, butter and milk.

Stir the milk mixture into the flour mixture.

In a preheated 400°F. oven, heat a popover pan for 5 minutes, or until it is hot.   Brush the cups with melted butter, and fill them half full with the batter.

Bake the popovers in the middle of the oven for 30 to 40 minutes.

Serve immediately.
