One of the major themes this week is writing web pages.

In order to write your first web page you need to have 3 steps completed:

1) You will need a space for your web pages on the world wide web.*

I choose NBCi to have free access for everybody.

Please log on at http://www.nbci.com and apply for free web space.

We will start using it by tomorrow. Then, you can continue using it at home

Go to the bottom of the page and click on membership

Scroll down to the membership form link

You need an e-mail address, to sign up. If you do no have one, we will create one for you right away. Let me know.

2) You will need software to transfer the files from your computer to your web space.

	Again, so we will all see the same screen when we do this, I choose a preferred software. I would like you to download FTP voyager 7.0 for this class. We can use this software on trial during this class. At home, you can use any software you want.

3) You need to have your information written down in HTML code.

We will learn how to during the next few days. Right now, you do not need to do anything.

* NB. If you choose not to have a website, I can put your pages temporarily on my website. However, you will not be able to access these pages later from home.
