Using Paint

  1) “Paint” is usually found in Accessories in your program folder.
The default tool is the pencil.

A) Draw a tic-tac-toe board. Play tic-tac-toe with your neighbor.  The X person should draw with red lines, and the O person should use blue.

To clear the screen, go to File, New. If you want to save, you will be prompted.  If not, that is fine too.

2) The pencil line is very thin. Change from the pencil
to the Paintbrush to draw with thicker lines.

B) Play tic-tac-toe using the thickest lines possible in red and blue
(X person uses O this time).

  3) Use the tool that looks like an A.  Write your name in the middle.  Decorate it using the airbrush tool, and at least three colors.  If you have difficulty, use the eraser in the top section.

Advanced: With your pencil, outline your name in a different color.  HINT: Use a new tool for greater precision!

  C) Now try using ONLY the six tools from the
bottom section to draw lines and shapes to
play tic-tac-toe with your neighbor.

4) What does the “Fill with color” tool do?

D) Click on the text tool A.  Write your name in a blue box.  HINT: Use the boxes on the bottom of the toolbar.

Advanced: Sign your name using the paintbrush feature.  Use an angled calligraphy style brush. SAVE

E) Save your best picture-with your name on it- as the wallpaper on your desktop. (Click File .. Set as Wall paper). Go to your desktop to see the effect.
