Every item in your computer has certain characteristics, such as
size, color and shape. These items can be software or hardware.
If you would like to know more about an item, you can often right click on it
and choose properties.
Once you see these properties you can
often change them to your liking,
The
properties of My Computer tells you the speed and the type of your
processor. Additionally, under Device manager, it tells you about every part in
your computer. The type of CD-ROM, brand of your hard drive and monitor, etc. To
learn more about one of these components, just right click and choose properties.
If you open My
Computer, you can see the drives. Right click and choose properties
to see how much space you have on each disk. In this mode you can also choose
tools to maintain your disk with certain programs.
In Explorer, right
clicking on a folder and choosing properties is a great way to
learn how how many subfolders, files and Megabytes are stored in that folder.
Right clicking on a graphic in a program will give you the properties of a
picture, which you then can change to your liking. Borders, right or left, and
other properties of the graphic can all be changed.
