The Interesting thing about a network is, that you can run programs and access files on other computers. You can share you printers and CD-ROMs and also presentations and other files.

The Network drive is often called with a higher letter, such as F through Z. (See drives)

You can have a different letter for every hard drive on your network.
F:\    Dad's hard drive
G:\    Mom's hard drive
Z:\    John's hard drive

Here is the good news. You can make even letters to create a "drive" that just accesses a specific folder on a drive:

H:\    F:\my documents\John
K:\    G:\my documents\John

You can set these virtual drives by right clicking on your computer and choosing Map network drive.

Now, every time you save on your H:\ drive, the files will actually be stored on you mom's computer in the the folder "John", which can be found in her "My documents" folder.

How would you make a P:\drive that points to your user folder "ccjbrown" in the directory "computer camp" on the F:\drive? .
