E-mail stands for electronic mail.

E-mail is not send to you. It is send to a server. You are the only one that can pick you mail up from the server.

E-mail is an electronic file that, just like other information, is send to your computer over the internet, to be displayed on your computer. Sometimes messages or attachments are send in a certain format, which means that you have to have compatible programs to see the full message.

You will need three things:

1) a user name    Mine is    wvang00

2) a password     This will allow only you to check your e-mail.

3) a server.         Mine is    pop.uky.edu

If you want to check your e-mail you need these three things. If your e-mail is web based, the server is the same site as your e-mail account (yahoo.com, hotmail.com etc.)
