Silvanik, President
Bob
started Lexington-based Quadrant 2 Consulting in early 2005 and
has been building this innovative organization since then. With
a growing list of clients, an emerging reputation of credibility
and trust and a team of creative, highly-educated professionals,
Q2 has become a passion for him, not just a business. His goal is
to help organizations and teams achieve excellence by providing
a variety of professional services to assist projects that are trying
to make a difference within the individual, the institution or the
community.
To his work at Quadrant 2, Bob brings over twenty years of experience
working directly with and for leaders in the public, private and
nonprofit sectors, primarily for the purposes of leveraging resources
and building alliances to improve the delivery of services to needy
citizens and to make public policy for the common good. His work
history includes serving as a policy advisor to a man many consider
one of the most effective reform-minded governors of the last fifty
years, working in the policy research center for a national association
serving state executives based in Washington, D.C., and managing
the development, policy, research, public relations and publications
departments for another national association of state officials.
Bob is a skilled speaker and facilitator and a certified strategic
planner. He has an M.A. in Political Science from the University
of Kentucky and has completed post-graduate work at Georgetown University
and Kent State University. He has taught at the college level, is
a published researcher and is currently studying at Lexington Theological
Seminary.

Laura
Dake, Managing Partner
Laura
has more than a decade of training facilitation, course development
and training management experience in both corporate and educational
settings. She specializes in leadership development, verbal and
written communication and customer service, and loves helping individuals
improve their abilities to work effectively within their organizations.
Laura is both AchieveGlobal and DDI-certified, and in addition to
her work with Quadrant 2, is a contract trainer with Bluegrass Community
and Technical College’s Corporate and Community Development
office. She holds advanced degrees from the University of Michigan
and George Mason University.
Prior to her work as a training facilitator, Laura was an analyst
working on Russian economic and scientific issues for the federal
government. She has extensive writing and editing experience. Among
her favorite activities with Quadrant 2 is writing grants for small
non-profits whose goal it is to improve their local communities.
Laura is also the lead on the Kentucky Policy Forums, Quadrant 2’s
annual series of public policy events.

Lisa
Satin, J.D., Project Manager
Lisa
has a law degree from Northwestern University. Recently, she earned
a graduate certificate in developmental disabilities from the University
of Kentucky’s Interdisciplinary Human Development Institute
and completed leadership training with the Prichard Committee’s
Commonwealth Institute for Parent Leadership. She is keenly interested
in public policy issue which impact basic needs, such as health
care, education and child welfare. Lisa’s career began in
the group health insurance industry doing contract and compliance
work; later, she managed a review board at the University of Kentucky
where she specialized in analyzing and implementing the ethical
and legal requirements for human subjects’ research.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Lisa has followed
her passion for education and child welfare by actively serving
on several Lexington non-profit boards, including the Lexington
Childrens Theatre and the Fayette Cooperating Nursery School and
Kindergarten. She has also been a member of the Citizens Review
Panel, which is responsible for advising the Cabinet for Health
and Family Services. |
