Preferences

 

You can set various options in the preferences (Tools menu).  You must click okay in order for the setting to be saved.  Below are some details on these options.

 

General

 

Confirm exit: This will ask if you are sure you want to exit when you close RAD.

 

Contact Folders: This will search for contact folders on load (see Contact Folders for more)

 

Load with Windows: Use this button to toggle whether RAD is loaded with windows.  You do not need to click okay for this option to take effect.

 

Hotkey:  This allows you to set a hotkey to restore RAD when minimized (see Hotkeys).  Not all hotkey combinations have been tested.  Avoid using hotkeys already in use.

 

Web-based E-mail:  Use this to set what web-based e-mail will be used (see E-mail).

 

Data Folders

 

You this page to set the folders RAD will use for syncing notes, tasks and calendar items.  The calendar folder will also be used to set RAD Days.

 

RAD Days

 

Use to set option for RAD Days.

 

User Field: RAD Days will be searched for in this User Field.  The User field is in each contact.

 

Check for RAD Days on load: Check here to have RAD check for upcoming RAD Days when RAD starts.  It will check for RAD Days in the next 7 days.

 

Enable Reminder: Check here to have a 15 minute reminder added to each RAD Day appointment.

 

Automatic RAD Day scan: Check here to have RAD automatically update RAD days whenever you do an Outlook Data Sync.  The Data sync can be set to fire on a timer so that you can be sure your RAD Days are up to date after each sync.  This will also scan for upcoming RAD Days.  This feature requires Outlook® Redemption.

 

Don’t show event name: Check here to not show the event name in the subject of a RAD Day appointment.  This will look better on small-screened PDAs.

 

Remove future RAD Days: Check here to prevent RAD from deleting past RAD Days when you rescan.  This WILL also apply when you use the remove all RAD Days feature.

 

Custom colors for RAD Day types can be selected.

 

Debug Mode

 

Check here to turn Debug Mode on.

 

Outlook Data Sync

 

Enable: Check here to turn on Outlook® Data Sync.

 

Sync Timer:  Choose from one of two methods:

 

Sync Filters: Click the button to set the filters (see Outlook® Data Sync for more)

 

Master or Slave Setting: Choose if you want the sync to be the Master (sends data to FTP) or a Slave (receives data from FTP).  There can only be one Master!

 

Sync Items: Check what items to sync.

 

FTP Settings:

 

Appointment Colors

 

Set criteria to color appointments here (see Appointment Coloring for more).

 

Check below to color appointment using the defined criteria on every sync.

 

VOIP

 

Enable Click-2-Call: Check to enable this feature

 

Click-2-Call Settings:

 

Enable Copy-2Call: Check to enable this feature

Cell Phone

 

Fields: Mark the fields you wish to have included in your cell phone list

 

Criteria: Set a criterion here (see Cell Phone for more).

 

MISC

 

Enable Copy-2-Email: Enable this feature

 

Hotkey:  This allows you to set a hotkey for Copy-2-Email.  Not all hotkey combinations have been tested.  Avoid using hotkeys already in use.

 

Driving Directions Address: Choose either Business, Home or Other.  See Driving Directions for more.

 

Close connection when minimized: Turning on this feature will close the Connection with Outlook when you minimize RAD.  This will reduce the footprint of RAD when running idle.  This can prevent seeing an error when closing Outlook®.
