Restoration Projects
As an operating railroad dedicated to preserving our rail heritage, Kentucky Railway Museum has a number of restoration projects underway in addition to the daily operating expenses associated with the railroad and the museum. Contributions may be made to any of the listed funds using our online secure form. As a 501 (c) 3 non-profit, your donations should be tax-deductible. Please see your tax preparer for information on your circumstances. All donations will be promptly acknowledged by letter for your tax keeping purposes. Our current funds are:
- Restoration of Pullman obs-sleeper, The Mt Broderick built in 1928.
- Redecking of Bridge 8 over Pottinger Creek between New Haven and New Hope.
- General operating fund provides money for on-going maintenance and expenses.
- Restoration of the Brill Motor Car model 55 used on the Frankfort & Cincinnati Railroad, "The Cardinal."
