page 36- Michael Reasoner entitled to 50 acres of land agreeable to
Proclamation of the King in 1763 - Williamsburg, February 14, 1774Michael Reasor was in Washington County, Virginia in 1777. The following:
At a court held for Washingotn County April 29, 1777.
"On motion of Michael Raisner Certificate is granted him for obtaining
Administration on the estate of John Sex deceased giving security whereupon
he together with John Campbell and Arthur Campbell entered into and
acknowledged their Bond in the penalty of One Hundred pounds with conditoin
as the Law directs for the faithful administration of the said decedent's
Estate."DEED BOOK 1, Page 142 - 7 May 1800
Robert Preston of Washington County, Virginia sold 315 acres of land lying
in Turkey Cove, adjoining Simon Ely's land, to Michael Razor of Lee County,
Virginia for one hundred pounds.Michael Reasor died in Lee County in 1815. At a court of Quarter Sessions
held for the County of Lee the 28th day of November 1815. Present: John
Howard, Job Crabtree, Richard Beaty, and John Eller, gentlemen."On the motion of Margaret Raser who made oath as administratrix and
together with William France and Daniel Rasor her securities entered into
and acknowledged a bond in the penalty of five thousand dollars conditioned
as the law directs certificate is granted the said Margaret Rasor for
obtaining letters of administration of the estate of Michael Rasor deceased
in due form."Page 141 - "Ordered that John Howard, William Yates, Randolph Collier and
Benjamin Davis or any three of them being first sworn before a justice of
the peace do truly and justly appraise in current money the personal estate
of Michael Rasor deceased and return the appraisement under their hands to
the Court."Page 286 - At a court continued and held for Lee county at the court houe
thereof on the 27th day of October 1830.Page 288 -

"On the motion of William France praying for relief as security of Margaret
Razor for her due and faithful administration of the Estate of Michael Razor
deceased: This day came the parties by their counsel who being heard it is
ordered that the said Margaret Razor give the said William France good
counter security, the bond for which purpose is to be in the penalty of
$5000, and thereupon the said Margaret Razor together with James Flanary and
Benjamin Davis entered into and acknowledged a bond in the manner required
by law."The book goes on to say that Margaret Razor's will was proved 21 Jan 1833.
The book also refers to a Peter Reasor that immigrated from Rotterdam 3 Sep
1739 on the ship Robert and Alice. This Peter also lived in Lee co.,
Virginia and was father of the Daniel Rasor who acted as security for
Margaret Rasor.Will Book 1, page 108
In the name of God amen the last will and testament of Margaret Razor she
bequeths to Benjm and Barbary Davis all her money after her funeral Expenses
paid this 24th Day of August 1832. Margaret (X) Razor
A John Howard being part of the appraisal for Michael Raser would make sense
with our line, but I thought that the Barbara (sister of Michael and Mary
Ann) was married to a COX?
