when I'm walking around, looking at the palm trees, the lagoon, or billions of stars at night, I say, "Where am I?!"  The scenery out here is so unreal!!  There are those times that I am just completely dumbstruck and overcome by all my surroundings.  I have to remind myself that this is real and I am living on an island.  As many times as I see an awesome sunset or sunrise, I still can't help running to get my camera every now and then when it seems that the sky is suddenly looking more amazing than it has in recent days.

Yup . . . the Pac Ocean . . . right in my backyard.  This is out near the reef, at Joy Island, where we go for student retreats.

And this is the sort of result you get when you wake up at 6 in the morning, stumble out of bed, and find your camera even though your eyes are still trying to stay open.

The mysterious and amazing rock beast, Nan Madol.  This thing is like Lincoln Logs of basalt pillars. It's absolutely incredible!
