In June 1998 I stumbled onto a 1983 GL1100 Interstate at Action Sports in Marshall, MN. I couldn't believe it, only 12,500 miles, nearly mint Gold Wing at what I considered a bargain price. I called Pj and asked her to go look it over during her break. A couple hours later she called back and said, "Let's get it!" With a little arm twisting, she convinced me to bite the bullet and go for it. This 15 year old wing was a quantum leap over our '73 CB500, or as Pj says, "old ironbutt." That seat seemed to get harder every year.
