New Hampton, IA. -- 9/8/2000 - 9/10/2000

The Davis Rally is held the weekend after Labor Day every year at the city park in New Hampton, IA. A $17/person entry fee covers the camping, entry into the drawings, allows you to take guided tours of the area, etc. The rally is one of the quieter major rallies, making it possible to get a decent nights sleep. A major draw to the rally is the number of vendors of all types that setup shop, it would be very easy to spend ones life savings on all the goodies available.

This was the first Rally Pj and I have attended.  At first I was surprised at how packed in all the tents and campers were and no one seemed to mind.  Under normal circumstances I'd be bothered with something this crowded, but we kept busy enough looking at the exhibits and riding that it didn't matter.

The Davis Rally is a very well organized rally and has clean grounds, bathrooms & showers etc., although more bathrooms & showers would be helpful.
