Milner Francis Crouch 4 (William 3, John 2, Richard 1) born March 10, 1811 in Goochland County, Virginia and raised as an orphan by Mrs. Nolin; he married Susan A. Jewett born September 05, 1814 in 1837 in Tennessee. Milner Francis was Sherriff of Newton Co., Mo. from 1850-1854. He is listed in the 1850 and 1860 Census records in Newton County, Missouri. In1870 Milner Francis Crouch resided in Cross County, Arkansas and based upon the 1870 Cross County Arkanasas census information he had suffered financial setbacks due to the Civil War. The 1870 Census records for Cross County Arkansas have him living adjacent to J.J. Crouch. By 1872 he appears to be back in Newton County, Missouri as he is a witness on the will for Samuel Smith. His grave is then found in the Greenwood Cemetery Records - Diamond, Newton County, Missouri with a death date of December 9, 1890.

4. Granville Coffee Crouch 5 born Missouri, Abt. 1849 based upon he being 11 in the1860 Census; died August 01, 1868.
5. Nancy "Nannie " Crouch 5 born Newton County Missouri, March 1851, married R. E. HALK, February 17, 1874, Granby, Newton, MO. R.E. Halk living in Cherry Valley, Mitchell Township, Cross County, Arkansas in 1925.
6. Mary Crouch 5 born Newton County Missouri, Abt. 1853 based upon her being 7 in the 1860 Census; died July 12, 1869
7. Samuel Milner Crouch 5, born Newton County Missouri, born March 10, 1854, Diamond, Newton, MO; died June 18, 1925, Diamond, Newton, MO.
NOTE:
There are discrepencies between the 1850 and 1860 Newton County Missouri Census Records for the ages of Milner Francis Crouch and Susan A. Jewett. The 1860 census was used as it agrees with the birth date for Milner Francis Crouch, but leaves the birth date for Susan Jewett unanswered. Susan's age in the 1870 Census is twelve years older than the 1860 Census. And her age in the 1860 Census is thirteen years older than the 1850 Census.
