HTML
Now we come to the easiest, but most tedious part, creating the HTML. To save time, I just recycle the pages from previous issues rather than start from scratch, and rather than deal with editing HTML, I use Netscape Composer (4.0, not current versions).

The first pages I do are the cover and contents. There I need to insert the original publication and copyright information. Then I put in the biography and known appearances (again, recycled, where possible, from previous appearances in my books). Finally, I head over to The Grand Comics Database and gather creator information. When the GCD is down, or doesn't list the creators, I have to try and figure them out myself (when I can), by using my memory, or sometimes AC's Men of Mystery and other reprints.

After the cover and contents are completed, I move on to the letters/cover gallery page, and the back cover. They require less editing, but when I have a large amount of letters, I have to gather, format, edit (for spelling), and respond to them. When all of this is done, I move on to the final step, the story pages, starting with the longest and going to the shortest.

Next step: Post Production.
