Every time your software (Netscape or Explorer) starts, it will take you to a beginning page. This is most likely their web page.

Every time you start your Internet session you might like to start with a search engine such as Yahoo, or you might go to the Sayre School Web page or the weather channel. Some of your Internet providers will actually make a start page for you on which you can put a lot of information: weather in you town, prices of stock you own, latest news, movies tonight in your town, etc.

If there is a page you really like, you can make it your browser's homepage.

You go here every time you start to surf the Internet.
You go here when you click the HOME button

(Not to be confused with the homepage of a site on the Internet.)
You go to the Internet Options (Explorer) or Preferences (Netscape) in the Menu and then indicate that the current page or any other address is going to be your homepage.
