Well, we've covered 44 states together. All the lower 48 except S.
Dakota, Maine, Washington and Oregon.
We've been to some interesting places like the Ben and Jerry's factory in Vermont, Area 51 in Nevada, the bridges in Madison County Iowa, the Tetons and Yellowstone , the Spy Museum in DC, and Laguna Beach CA
. We liked the accents in Fargo, the celebrity spotting in
LA, the buffets in Vegas, and the fall foliage in New England.
We didn't like so much the traffic in NY, the construction in Arkansas,
the humidity in Florida, or the dining choices at highway exits
nationwide.
There's a bit more to us than travel, so here's a
peek at some of our other interests and extracurriculars...
>> I met Oprah - that was fun! Read all about
it...

>>Since age 17 I have limited my red meat consumption,
and I have been "pesco vegetarian" since Jan of 2001,
after reading Fast Food Nation: The Dark Side of the All
American Meal . (Which by the way is an
incredibly enlightening book that I wish everyone would read.)
Altough not always easy, it has been absolutely worth every
second of it. I love animals, and can't
think of some four-legged (and two!) animals are pets, yet kill others and eat them.
It's funny, a lot of people ask me if I get enough protein, or
take vitamins, or yadayada. By following a plant based diet, I
enjoy better health and studies show I can look forward to greater longevity
than carnivores. Our society just isn't informed about the
advantages of a diet that avoids meat. But that is only
logical seeing as how corporations like McDonalds and the beef industry
fund ADA factsheets.
