I am looking at this because some newer religions that have sprung from the NT are trying to say there is support for Jesus or an entity of Salvation in the OT. They say his name is YaHaWaShi and or YaHShua. They say this entity is a Son of God. I can find no one fixed spelling between sects. I have found when there are discrepancies between these types of groups; that's usually an indication something is wrong with the study or theory that led them to believe it or it is a religious belief of their own fancy.
Let it be understood I have never denied Sons of God. According to the OT they do exist. What I do deny is the image of the NT. Also let it be understood that mortals or us are not the Sons of God we are correctly defined as Children of man, we are the offsprings of God's creation. Israel is a specific group of Children of man that God took for an inheritance, Ex34:9, Deut32:8-9.
I did a word search on my Tanakh for the Hebrew letters YHWS and YHS. There was not one hit through the entire Book. So until I can find the true spelling or one of the groups that I have e-mailed over the net comes fourth and tells us the verses the name can be found in, this study is inconclusive.
In the mean time, these are all the passages that has the word "salvation" in them. In one or two passages you can find a description of what is recorded in the NT. There are 115 passages, if it only takes one or two out of 115 for you to be turned from God; then that action alone proves something, Deu13:3.
Gen:49:18: I have waited for thy salvation, O LORD.
