Divinely
The Months
Perceived through a study of the Word of God
9-4-98

Warning: This theory is based on an assumptive understanding of wheat harvest And is only to be viewed as a low possibility. In reality it can not be supported until God brings back the seasons in their appointed times in the land of Jerusalem.

Most religions have developed days to call holy. And all of them have deferent dates for them. As I have said; when their are discrepancies between sects it's usually an indication that something is wrong with the study. I suspect it to mean, there is not enough information in the Scriptures, we have been allowed to read, for one to pinpoint the true dates to be called holy or religious. But I will test it and see if one could find the true dates.

I did a word search on "first month", "second month", etc.. I am trying to see if it is possible to synchronize Biblical months with the months we know today or are we already in synch. What is required is that we observe each saying about each month in which it deals with agricultural and or atmospheric conditions.

A better calculation can be done by finding the absolute harvest month for your area. This is only based on an average for the southern part of the US.

1. Abib, Ex12:2-13:4 = 8. Aug
2. Zif, Ikgs6:1
= 9. Sep
3. Sivan, Esth8:9,
Sow Wheat = 10. Oct
4. unknown
= 11. Nov
5. unknown
= 12. Dec
6. unknown
= 1. Jan
7. Ethanim, Ikgs8:2
= 2. Feb
8. Bul, Ikgs6:38
= 3. Mar
9. Kislev, Zech1:7
= 4. Apr
10. Tebeth, Esth2:16
= 5. May
11. Shebat, Zech1:7
= 6. June
12. Adar, Esth3:7,
Wheat Harvest = 7. July

Due to Ex23:16 and Ex34:22 wheat harvest is depicted to be the end
of the year. In America our wheat harvest is in the summer months,
June, July and August. On average it would be early July. So it
is possible the month Adar is actually July, which means July would be the
ending of the year. This is based on the assumption that wheat harvest
is the same in all areas with agricultural abilities. It appears that
wheat germs need to go through a cold period in the ground in order to
come ready. Thus they are planted just before winter and harvested mid
summer. With the assumption that most wheat acts the same, we know have
a bases for calculating holy days.

Assumptive calculation:
The month Abib/Aug would be the month one would observe the Feast of
Unleavened bread, Ex12:16. This is in conjunction with keeping the
seventh day Sabbath. The seventh day Sabbath is continual all through
the year. It appears one should not eat leavened bread from the 14th-
21st in the first month, Ex12:14-20.

Assuming our month continues to have the same number of days, which
I doubt, the Passover feast would be on the 14th of the first month
which is Abib/Aug, Ex12:6. One would select or choose the lamb on the
10th of Abib, Ex12:3. One would keep the lamb separated from other
animals until the 14th.

-Assumption-
I suspect one would keep the lamb as a pet, keep it in the house, feed
it, play with it, bathe it, take it places with you, develop an
emotional bond with it. Then at the time of sacrifice one would beadle
to get a small understanding of the emotional feelings of what God felt
when HE murdered all of the first borne males of the Egyptians for us.
For what good is a sacrifice if a man feeleth nothing for it.
-Assumption End-

If all months had thirty days, like I suspect, then the Passover feast
would fall on the 12th of August. The month Abib would actually start
on the 30th of July. This causes the Passover to fall on the second
Sabbath of Abib. The first Sabbath would be the 7th day of Abib, which
would fall on the 5th of Aug. The second Sabbath would be the 14th day
of Abib, which falls on the 12th of Aug, which would also be the
Passover feast.

There is no support, as of yet, to suport a thirty day month concept in
the Scriptures. It is only an assumption.

I have based this theory on heard evidence in the Bible. Due to
these statements, I know that harvest is at the end of the year. And
Abib is the beginning of the year.

Abib, first month:
Ex:12:2: This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall
be the first month of the year to you.

Ex:13:4: This day came ye out in the month Abib.

Ex:34:18: The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep. Seven days
thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, in the time of
the month Abib: for in the month Abib thou camest out from Egypt.

Harvest last month:
Ex:23:16: And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours,
which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which
is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out
of the field.

So all I have done is created a theory or scenario that abides the
condition.
