“The seven piece band was full of smooth grooves and pure funk. They may not have been a pure blues band, but they were a really good band at whatever song they chose.” - www.bluessource.com

Who is V-Groove?

Since 1998, V-Groove has established itself as one of the premiere bands in the Southeast/Midwest.  Their performances show fluency and versatility in the genres of roots music: blues, soul, R&B, funk, and  rock. V-Groove is hard to define due to this diversity. However, one thing is for sure…everything V-Groove does has energy and will make you move and have a good time. The band plays regularly at venues in their hometown of Lousiville, KY, such as Stevie Ray’s Blues Bar and Gerstle’s Place, as well as performing at other regional venues.

V-Groove has performed at events, such as Ribberfest Blues Festival in Madison, IN, The Sunset Concert Series and Friday After Five Concert Series in Owensboro, KY, Thunder Over Louisville at Slugger Field, The Kentucky State Fair, Strassenfest, numerous Kentucky Derby Festival Events. The band was named the best blues band in Louisville more than once by the readers of the LEO. V-Groove works collaboratively with The Greg Foresman Band to host the annual “Jam for a Cure” fundraiser (jamforacure.com) every December to support the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and was the subject of the documentary, “V-Groove: The American Dance Band”, by the Emmy-award-winning filmmakers at River Run Productions.

V-Groove has shared the stage with nationally renowned artists, including Buddy Guy, Big Bill Morganfield, Ray Fuller & The Blues Rockers, Slash (of Guns ‘n Roses), Mike Milligan & Steam Shovel, The Average White Band, Ronnie Baker Brooks, Tinsley Ellis, Delbert McClinton, Ian Moore, Kid Rock, Travis Tritt.

The band's self-titled CD is available on itunes and www.CDbaby.com.

The best way for anyone to understand the energy, excitement, talent, and fun that is V-Groove, is by seeing a live performance. Check www.v-groove.net for future performance dates.
