My name is Robert J. Trader, and I am a graduate student at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky, where I am studying Library and Information Science. I created this website in fulfillment of a requirement for a class called "Internet Technology". Originally, I had intended for the topic of this website to be Security Issues Relating to E-Commerce. However, as I got deeper and deeper into the subject, I noticed that I was spending much more time reading about Internet crime in general than specifically about e-commerce. I also noticed that there were not many websites dealing with the topic of Internet crime, and that the available information had not been well organized and was not comprehensive enough. So, I put this website together in an attempt to bring information resources about a variety of Internet crime related topics together in one place. Hopefully, this website has fulfilled its goal. If
you come across any Internet resources or information about Internet crime
that you think should be included in this site, please contact me. I do
have a general policy about the kind of resources I will link to and the
information I will include. I will not link to sites containing
information that I cannot verify the source of. I have rejected several
sites that other people are quoting on this basis. Where I have made
statements not based on statistical evidence or established fact but based
on my own observations and deductions, I have stated quite clearly that it
is my opinion, thought, or feeling. You can agree or disagree with these
as you will. I do not get upset if people tell me I am wrong, and can
prove it. Anyway, I hope you find this site useful, and will continue
educating yourself about Internet crime. |
