Fall Camporee at Camp Crooked Creek September 29- October 1st
The fall Camporee will feature a fishing derby this year. It is actually an expansion of the quite successful Cub Scout Fishing Derby that has been held for the past 2 years.
The Camporee will offer more than just fishing, as if that wasn't enough. The current plan is to open up the rifle and archery ranges and to conduct 2 or 3 other organized activities Saturday morning and to conduct the Boy Scout Fishing Derby in the afternoon.
Each fish caught is measured for length. At the end of the Derby the lengths are totaled and the individuals with the largest total length are declared the winners. A scout catching 25 three inch fish will have a score of 75. Prizes will be awarded.
The Cub Scouts will also come on out. They will have their fishing derby while the Boy Scouts are involved in the rifle, archery, and other activities. Scout Units are being encouraged to invite visiting Cubs into their camp sites and show what Scout Camping is like.
The fee is $5.00
