In the mid-1990s, while Apple Computer Corp. was pretty much wandering in the wilderness, Power Computing Corp. picked up the sword and began manufacturing the best Macintosh-based computers of their day (and some of the best ever). They remain viable, much-enjoyed machines to this day.
Interestingly, even the CDs on which Power Computing distributed the Mac OS it licensed from Apple were distinctive. While hardly fine art, the family of CDs nonetheless remains a small reminder of the enthusiasm with which Power Computing carried on the Macintosh tradition at a time when Apple had forgotten its roots. (Who else produced virtually holographic CD labels?)
Also included here are some of the marketing CDs that Power Computing distributed at venues such as MacWorld Expos.
