Established in 2000 the River City Ramblers are the Evansville Volkssport
club and members of the Indiana Volkssport Association (I.N.V.A.) and the American Volkssport Association
(A.V.A.). I.N.V.A. has 14 clubs throughout the state of Indiana. Local clubs help promote volkssporting by sponsoring noncompetitive sports events in their area. The club members select a trail for safety, scenic interest, historic areas, natural beauty and walkability. They then invite everyone to come enjoy a walk on a weekend, or a weekday evening. Most walks take people two hours to stroll a 10K trail. Some people like to run or jog, others enjoy taking a leisurely pace stopping to sightsee, picnic or shop. You set your own pace. Membership in the River City Ramblers is not required to do a walk, however if you wish to help support our club, annual dues are $5.00 per individual. A board walk was built in Wesselman Woods Nature Preserve as the result of contribution from River City Ramblers and
