Thomas Davis Crouch 5 (William S. 4, William 3, John 2, Richard 1) born April1845 in Goochland County, Va., and died February 20, 1916 with burial in the Hollywood Cemetery, Richmond City, VA.; married 1st Clara Isabella Carters, age 20, on 28th February, 1877 in Goochland County, VA the daughter of David Carters and Ann Carters.[2] Clara was born about 1852 and died December 26, 1877 in Goochland, VA. [4] He next married Annie C. Woodward on 20th June 1888.[3] Annie was daughter of Dr. and Mrs John E. Woodward. She was born 1849 and she died May 30, 1937 in Henrico County, VA. with burial in the Hollywood Cemetery Richmond City, VA. [6]

[3] Virginia Marriages 1785-1940 - Thos. D. Crouch, age 45, born 1843 Goochland County, VA., married Annie C. Woodward, age 35, born 1853 Henrico County, VA on 20th June 1888 in Henrico County, VA. Thos. D. Crouch was the son of Wm. S. Crouch and Ann W. Crouch and Annie C. Woodward was the daughter of J.E. Woodward and M.L. Woodward. A separate marriage record lists her name as Annie C. Woodson with her parents as J.E. & M.L. Woodward. Was this her second marriage also.
[4] Virginia Deaths and Burials 1853-1912 - Clara Crouch, age 25, born Goochland County, VA 1852, died 26 December 1877; wife of Thomas D. Crouch. Clara's parents were David Gordon and Anna Gordon. NOTE there is a discrepency in the age of Clara as listed in her marriage to Thom. Davis Crouch [2] and her age at the time of her death, along with the last names of her parents as listed in these two documents. This is most likely a transcription error since the records were obtained from FamilySearch's online database. Also note that a daughter [7]was born to her on December 25, 1879 yet this record says she died in December 1877.
[5] Virginia Deaths and Burials 1853-1912 - Male Crouch, age 0, born 1878, died 16th June 1878, the son of T.D. Crouch and Clara Crouch. This record says he was born in 1878, but his mother died 26 December 1877 which seems to validate that his mother died due to complications from child birth. [4]
