6:30
am:
Time to wake
up and eat! Mommy's new job lets her work from home, and she starts at 7. Mommy scatters my kibbles in the backyard; depending
on the weather, she'll only put out a little bit if it's dark and cold. On warmer days, she'll feed me a bigger breakfast outdoors while
she gets ready. Then I go back to bed and nap
a bit while she starts her work day.
11:30 am:
Lunch time! Weather permitting, Mommy scatters my kibbles outside so I can root for them. She tries to feed me enough, and scatter it enough, that I'll be busy for at least a half-hour, until she takes her lunch break at noon.
1 pm:
Back inside for another nap, while Mommy works.
4 pm:
Yay, Mommy is finished with work! In the winter, she'll give me a large meal in the backyard now, and give me a light supper later--so I won't have to spend a lot of time in the dark and cold. But in the summer, when it stays light and warm later, she might just give me a carrot or an apple outside now, and feed me a big supper later.
8 pm:
Time for my last meal of the day and my last potty break. Mommy asks me to try to go outside a little bit every day, even if it's cold or if it's sprinkling a little. On really bad days, where it rains too hard all day or if it's dangerously cold, Mommy feeds me indoors and I potty on the piddle pads set up downstairs. When the weather is nice, I LOVE being outdoors, and will often stay out for hours at a time, napping in the sunshine and rooting and grazing. Mommy just makes sure that I have a fresh bowl of water, and she checks on me frequently.
Anywhere from 8:30 -- 10
pm:
Off to bed! I sleep with Mommy, and she always gives
me a bedtime snack or a vitamin and a bowl of water. She closes the door, so I can't
get into Molly and Middie's food (I just can't resist dog food, even though it's bad for
me). Then she lights some incense and puts on some relaxing music--either
WDJO radio, Hemi-sync music, world lullabies or classical music, or harp music if she's going to
do Reiki
before she goes to sleep. I crawl under the covers, root around a bit, let
Mommy rub my belly, and finally settle down at her feet.
