Food!

Potbellied pigs LOVE food!  Many pigs eat too much--and being a chubby piggie isn't very healthy.  Mommy keeps an eye on my weight, and decreases my portions if I seem to be getting too chubby.

Breakfast:  One cup of commercial mini-pig chow pellets--this is important, as it contains the correct amount of protein for a little piggie like me.  Pig chow made for my farm-pig cousins is too fattening.  Mommy also gives me a children's chewable vitamin.

Morning snack:  A handful or two of Cheerios (or similar dry cereal), raisins, nuts, or mixed dried fruit.  When I was a little baby, Mommy would put it in a Buster Ball, but now that I'm bigger, I prefer to root for it.  Sometimes I get a peanut butter Velvet Bimple, or fresh fruit.

Lunch:  One cup of pellets; again, I like to root for it.

Afternoon snack:  Fresh fruit, vegetarian doggie biscuits, or raisins--whatever Mommy has on hand.  My favorites are grapes and strawberries...yummy!

Supper:  To keep my belly full through the night, Mommy feeds me a huge salad--about 4 or 5 cups, or a dinner plate full--with any combination of:

Fresh leafy greens
Carrots
Cucumber
Radishes
Broccoli
Green beans
Bell peppers
Squash
Apples
Celery

Then she sprinkles it with one-quarter cup of pellets.  If my skin has been dry and itchy, she also adds a drizzle of olive oil, or she may spread organic peanut butter on the apple chunks.

Bedtime snack:  Vegetarian doggie biscuits or fruit.
