We're still traveling parallel to the Stock Road on the north side. It's a tougher hike through the grass and underbrush.

We leave the Stock Road during this part of our trek. It bends to the north, heading towards the village of Stock. We'll follow Frodo's company and take a smaller lane that bends a bit south "...winding through a wood of ancient oak-trees on its way to Woodhall." Aren't these beautiful, old oaks majestic?
