Walk to Rivendell

We travel along the Stock Road a way and then we come to our first milestone. This is where Frodo, Sam and Pippin made camp for the night!

It was just before midnight on September 23 when the hobbits camped in a grove of fir trees that Sam remembered. He knew this part of the Shire well, but he hadn't been much farther than this from Hobbiton in his life. The travelers wrapped up in their cloaks and blankets and curled into the nooks made by the roots of the great fir trees. It was at this camp that the fox wonders what three hobbits are doing sleeping out in the wood!

We'll continue on our way. Our next goal is to meet some elves!
