Conchobar's Silver Oak

Brother Conchobar's Award of the Silver Oak Scroll was based on a 13th century English medical text book.  It was done in gall ink and gouache on vellum, highlighted with 23k gold raised gilding.  The scroll has little personal touches throughout including little carrots within the filigree of the "W" that measure just 4 mm high, acorns, martlets and his motto can all also be found within the illuminated elements.
