More than 40 per cent of troops in Iraq are
Guards or Reservists from the American heartland.

Each of those soldiers has parents, a wife or husband or significant other, children, siblings, cousins and other relatives, friends, classmates, professional colleagues. And regardless of their feelings on this war, they strongly support the soldiers overseas. WE SUPPORT OUR SOLDIERS!

This has really changed those guys over there. They have given up over a year of their lives with their families and friends. They're a lot more mature, and they hold more value to life. They understand what family closeness is all about now. They will come home with more than memories of car bombs, hidden snipers and lost friends. They've spent months getting and distributing gifts from family and friends destined for the empty, shattered lives and homes of the people caught in the middle in the war, the everyday Iraqi trying to live a normal life in the middle of chaos.
