When I first saw this figure/statue, I knew it would be a fan fave.  People just love that rather absurd McFarlane's Spawn/Manga style of contorted body poses.  And if anyone could pull off this pose, it would be Maul.  On the one hand, I kinda like this piece because it is dynamic and different.  However, on the other hand, I think it's kind of lame because it feels more like a corny Japanese import and less like a the cinematic representations we champion in the States.  So, is it worth buying? Yes, but I hope Hasbro makes another Maul Unleashed fig. in the future.   There is nothing about this figure that is particularly bad, the sculpt is fine as well as the paint... and then the pose being my least favorite aspect of this version of the evil one. It makes him look like he is a dancer from a Russian ballet. Tutu is up, Swan Lake here he comes. Make way for the prancing Maul. I do not really care for the force-flaming base either but I am not generally a big fan of the force flame technique. I think this figure is an OK toy; however the last discussed points make for an overall 2.5. Sorry Maul, Vader's got you beat.
