Checker's are NOT only a name of a game, but it's also a brand of a car. Checker Taxis are well known in the NYC area. People think Checker was built by Chevy or Ford. The truth is that "Checker" is the brand of the car. Checker Motors is located in Kalamazoo, MI. Checker made a lot of different models such as: Marathon, Superba, Town & Country, Superba and Marathon Station Wagons, Aerobus (6 door & 8 door).
