Remember the old Chinese curse, "May you live in interesting times"?  We do seem to be living in "interesting" times, don't we?

Hi there! Thanks for dropping by. I am known as Wolfie on the 'net. I am a housewife, mother, and veterinary technician. I have two darling little boys (not so little any more!) whom I think are perfect, and a husband who is also perfect! I am very family oriented.  I have three dogs, a Belgian Sheepdog mix (?),  and two Papillons.  We are also owned by one cat.  There are for your browsing pleasure a couple of photo pages available if you're interested!

You've heard of a Social Butterfly? Well, I'm a Career Butterfly. I flit from job to job as I get bored with them. It's really been great fun! I've sold hotdogs from a booth at ballgames. I have been an animal control officer (that's the fancy name for the dogcatcher). I have been an actor and singer. I have been a theatrical electrician, lighting designer, and board operator. I have been a veterinary technician. I have been an insurance clerk for a medical office. I've cleaned kennels and assisted in surgeries, both animal and human. I've given birth twice (the hardest thing I've ever done!), and have since then had the fulltime job of Mommy. Right now, I'm tackling the huge challenge of home schooling my kids.  Since my Boss/Vet retired, I've been unemployed.  Boy, do I miss those employee discounts!

My favorite things to do, other than play on my computer, include playing with my kids, playing with the dogs, SCUBA diving, bike riding, hiking, reading

- especially sci-fi and psychological horror (what's that? read Stephen King's "The Stand", or Anne Rice's "The Mummy"...), and singing. In fact, in March of 1999, the choir I sang with was honored to sing at Carnegie Hall in New York.  In the summer of 2000 we did a concert tour in Austria and France.  A couple years ago, a bunch of my family went on a kayaking trip along the Outer Banks of North Carolina.  Now THAT was fun!

You'll notice that there are some linked subjects on this page. Most are to pages full of stories I've written. If you're interested, click on a subject, and don't say I didn't warn you! I have a few stories that really don't fit under any other subject. I call those my Mental Walkabout stories, because my mind just goes where ever it feels like, and it makes for some very strange writing!  I also write poetry, so browse carefully! ;-)

Please keep in mind that while most of my stories on the linked pages do indeed contain a grain of truth, it is in the same manner in which the pearl contains a grain of sand. These are my memories - viewed through the always distorted and always changing lenses of time and emotion. They are not, and I have never intended them to be, historically accurate works of non-fiction. Just wanted you to know.
