Step 1, just type in the item you are looking for.

Step 2, browse the items are currently open for auction.

Step 3, Ready for a bid? Don't do it! You have not done your research yet! Search again, but this time with the option "Completed items" checked. Now you can see how much your item went in the past.

Fair market price is the lowest possible bid. Somebody got what you want for that price. Every other price is just a price hike by eager bidders or a greedy seller.

Step 4. Don't bid too early! Why increasing the bids of others by letting them know you are interested and outbid them? Your increase will urge others to increase their bid as well. The price will be higher. Snatch the item in the last minute, hoping that they don't sit behind their computer as well.

Step 5. Don't have time to do Step 4? Let another computer do it for you. Check out the link below at auctionsniper.com. It will automatically bid for you seven seconds before the auction closes, and if you did not get the item you want, it will bid again on the next available item of your specification (See bidgroups)
