Jim and Janet's Irises

  • Siberian Irises
Siberian irises are among the easiest to grow in much of North America. They are superb landscape plants, with vertical foliage that makes a nice contrast to other plants in a garden. The foliage is less troubled by disease than that of bearded irises.

  • Miniature Tall Bearded Irises
Miniature Tall Bearded irises are of intermediate height, 16"-27", and must be proportional, with slender, flexuous stalks and dainty in appearance. Although the class is dominated by diploids, in recent years some tetraploid irises have been bred to fit within the class.

  • Miniature Dwarf Bearded Irises
Miniature Dwarf Bearded irises are the smallest bearded irises, under 8 inches tall. They bloom first, and are the source of significant genetic variation within the bearded irises.
