A little while ago, my friend Rob, who was my last roomate in college, wanted me to redesign the characters from his Elmer comic book. I jumped at the chance since I think his comic work (especially Elmer) is probably the funniest stuff I've ever read. I may have a biased opinion though since we are best friends.
