The following photo of VMD-154 Forward Echelon Plane 2 was taken prior to 7 Feb 1943. On that date, PB4Y-1 #31958 crashed in the sea about one half mile off the shore of Espiritu Santo Island. All 12 crew members on board were lost at sea, including Capt. B. C. Y. Fuller and Pfc. Lester Simkins pictured here.
