VMD-154 Forward Echelon

To: Lieutenant Colonel Elliott E. Bard, U. S. Marine Corps.

Subject: Orders, Change of Station.

1. You will take charge of the following named officers and men comprising the Forward Echelon, Marine Photographic Squadron-154 and proceed, on or about 4 Novemer, 1942, via government aircraft, to a destination which will be given you orally. Upon arrival thereat, you will report with the organization under your command to the Commanding General, First Marine Aircraft Wing for duty. Upon your departure from this station, temporary duty with MAG-21, Fourth Marine Aircraft Base Defense Wing will be completed.

2. Flight orders for personnel concerned are continued in force.

3. For this travel by government aircraft involved, you and the members of the organization under your command are authorized a per diem of six dollars ($6.00). Since this duty is exceptional and will probably require a delay of more than seventy-two (72) hours, a delay, if necessary, of not to exceed fifteen days is authorized at any temporary aviation duty station.

4. Each of the above named officers and men will be furnished with a certified copy of these orders, which will constitute the original orders of the officer or enlisted man concerned.

5. The travel herein enjoined is necessary in the public service.
