11/06/05 Congratulations to Blackhawk Scribal Salon Regular Sebastian Elgar for having his first scroll blank completed and given out in the court of TRM Edmund and Kateryn at the All Souls event.  Keep up the great work!

11/12/05 THL Bess send out her heartfelt Thanks to everyone who made the 2005 Blackhawk A&S Fair such a rousing success. 

11/05/05  Katie de Nevell is now an authorized Youth combatant!


9/22-05 Scribal Salon is back!

 Bess invites you to an informal Scribal Salon in Rockford, Illinois on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 7 - 9PM.  Artists with all levels of talent are welcome and encouraged to participate. 


8-1-04 Introducing Lady Victoria de Nevell!!   Our oldest daughter Victoria received and Award of Arms for service and nobility beyond her years during court at Simple Day.  This came just one week after all three de Nevell kids received the Award of the Dragon's Treasure at Middle Kingdom College of Youth for their service to the Shire, Kingdom, and Her Majesty. 5-15-04 Hoobah for our dear friend The Honorable Lord Ryan Murdoch Mackenzie who was made of member of the Order of the Evergreen at MidRelam Coronation on May 15th, 2004.  Ryan was elevated for his skill and teaching in the art and science of gem cutting.

2-14-04 Brother Conchobar's Laurel, Mistress Siobhan O'Neill, was elevated to the Order of the Pelican on Saturday February 14th, 2004. All we can say is...
It's About Damn Time!! Hoobah for Mistress Siobhan!!


 We want to thank Lady Rebekah ferch Anna who's stunning work for my daughter Victoria de Nevell was featured the week of February 2nd on the popular costuming website "Festive Attyre".  More pictures of Victoria in this stunning Elizabethan Gown can be found on Tori's Page Page.


11-22-03 Bess was made a Companion of the Evergreen for her skills and teaching in the scribal arts at the Kingdom Heraldic and Scribal Symposium, Saturday November 8th.  As usual, she cried.  Her Majesty claims Bess is Honorable now,  no.. really.. you can stop laughing! ;D

11-1-03 KJ watched the populace as he guarded Her Majesty Guenievre during court at the All Souls event on November 1st, 2003.  KJ earned the honor of standing guard by being voted most chivalrous during the youth boffer tournament.


Victoria de Nevell serves as a Page to Her Majesty Guenievre at Crown Tournament.  Tori also entered the Youth A&S Fair and received much largesse!

KJ serves as a Page to Sir Tristan at Crown Tourney earning 4 service hours!  Tori and Katie also participated in the Youth A&S Fair, receiving much largesse for their illuminated manuscripts.

My wonderful hubby Conchobar won me tickets to go see Sting perform live in Grant Park October 7th, 2003.  It's pretty rare to find a picture of us together but thanks to the folks at American Express we have this one and I thought I'd post it up for awhile.

Bess' Apprentice Sister Lady Cassandra Elanora di Milano has been placed on vigil for the Order of the Laurel!!  She will sit vigil and be elevated at Middle Kingdom Scribal Symposium November 8th in Greensburg, Indiana.

September 6th, 2003 A Big Night for the Mackenzie Clan!!  Our dear friend Lady Rebekah ferch Anna  receives an Award of the Purple Fret for her service to Grey Gargoyles as Chatelaine.  At the same court her gallant husband Lord Ryan Murdoch Mackenzie was honored with an Award of the Willow  his  research and teaching of medieval European dance.

Brother Conchobar mac Gabhann becomes a Companion of the Silver Oak at the Coronation of TRM Pieter and Nan Astrid in May 2003.  You can see the award scroll that Bess created for him HERE.  Thanks to Meisterin Katarina Helene for pictures!
