Ky has a wide range of natural habitats from the Cumberland mountains in the eastern part of the state to the river swamps of the Mississippi lowlands in the extreme west. Between these extremes a world of biological diversity occurs. From 2003- 2005 Will Bird and myself have recorded every herp that we have observed in the field in Ky.
