| Mr. McGroarty founded The Stanton Group in 1991, and is currently its Managing Partner.
Driven by a passion for organizational effectiveness, he has devoted most of his career to strengthening American
manufacturing organizations. This drive sets the tone for all Stanton Group operations. Mr. McGroarty's career began with more than a decade of training as a machine operator, quality technician, manufacturing manager, and manufacturing engineer. While he worked his way "through the chairs" in manufacturing Mr. McGroarty studied at night to earn a BSME at the Detroit Institute of Technology and an MA in Management from Central Michigan University. He spent the ten years after completing his education restructuring manufacturing companies as a consultant with Ingersoll Engineers. Several of his Midwestern manufacturing clients are now exporting their products to the Far East, including Japan. The management revolution that started with American manufacturing has spread to service providers and government. The Stanton Group has broadened its services to provide tested, real-world solutions in these areas of practice, as well. Today about half of the Stanton Group's assignments are performed outside of manufacturing. Mr. McGroarty is a well-versed in a broad range of fields, including change management, project management, organization design, manufacturing systems, cost accounting, and many manufacturing processes. His mix of energy and experience enables the Stanton Group to "make it happen" in any organizational environment. His developments in organization design, cost accounting, manufacturing cost reduction, cellular manufacturing, and capital conservation have been widely published, and he is frequently sought after as a speaker for APlCS, SME, IMA, and similar conferences. Mr. McGroarty's personal list of clients includes APV Ltd. and Hanson PLC of the UK, Emerson Electric Company, Textron, Eaton Corporation, General Dynamics, Ingersoll-Rand Company, NIBCO, The State of Wisconsin, the US Department of Defense, and Pacific Dunlop Ltd. of Australia. |
