A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC
Ingmar Bergman made the movie and Stephen Sondheim turned it into musical magic with A Little Night Music. "Sondheim's glamorous 3/4 waltz-time musical recalls enchanted evenings, white kidskin elbow gloves, and romance of the green-eyed bittersweet and bed-hopping sort. A Little Night Music has a foolishly fanciful, twinkly score swathed in plucky harp, sweeping strings, and coolly elegant conversational tunes" (Paige La Grone) and is perhaps best known for the song, "Send in The Clowns."
