"Greetings pilgrim. Be welcomed to the Temple of Hecate."

(Ask the Priestess her name)

"My name? It is Depeeka, which means 'a lamp' in your tongue. I am a priestess of Hecate. My people came to know Hecate through trade with Alexander's colonies in Bactria and Northwest India."

(Ask the Priestess about the grounds)

"This is but one of many temples that have been raised to Our Lady. There are others on the Internet, and before this others made of stone and marble. The most famous of these was Her great temple in Lagina in what is now the nation of Turkey. It is from that place that many believe She originated."

(Ask the Priestess more about the Temple Grounds)

"You will find many wonderful things here: a Library housing knowledge about Hecate and many other subjects, for She loves knowledge in all its forms, an Oracle, a shrine to Her sister Goddess Artemis and another to Her Consort Lord Hermes. You will also find Her Temple here. The help button will reveal more details about these places for you."

(Ask the priestess about Those Who Serve Her)

"There are many, like myself, who serve the Lady. We serve in many ways. In ancient times, we were the keepers of the Knowledge of the Art: the ways of Magick. We were also astrologers, and herbalists and when we were not engaged as I am, in keeping the Temple, we sang Her praises in hymns that you can read in the Library. Many of us are women, but some who serve Her are male, and among both, there are those who tread the path of both sexes, the Semnotatoi. The Lady has always welcomed any who come to Her call. Among the Greeks we were sometimes called Demosioi or slaves, for in Her service we are but slaves to Her will. This might sound frightening to a modern mind, but there is joy in our service, just as the priests and priestess of other faiths who serve their Gods find fulfillment in that service."
