The Violet
Once upon moss of velvet
My dear prince was seen
Under the veil of the willow
Sweet brown eyes stared at me
A smile cross my lips
Blush upon cheeks of warm spring
Nothing more than a peasant
Unworthy to grace his sight
Translucence moonlight
Hidden upon roots to find
Petite violet blossom
Petals of butterfly wing
Treasure for a gift
Dwarf in his gentle hand
Brushing her crimson cheek
Fingers upon strains of mahogany
Behind ear soft stem twines
Her soul entranced upon pearls of dew
Soaring silken bubbles prance
In blessing as breath escapes
Arms open in wait
Never
to let go of my dear prince
