NEW ALBANY -- Denita Howell, 60, died Monday, December 2, 2002. She was the former Shirley Denita King and the owner and manager of Crestline Realty since its inception. She was a member of Willeys Chapel United Methodist Church and a pianist for 30 years. She was a member and past president of the Southern Indiana Realtors Association, Louisville Board of Realtors and the National Association for Realtors. She is survived by her mother, Helen King of New Albany; her husband, Jerry Howell of New Albany; daughters, Becky McCoy of Charlestown, IN, Cara DiCarlo of Georgetown, KY and Kristy McEwen of Clarksville, IN; brothers, Gary King of Cromwell, KY and Richard King of New Albany; and six grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg, IN. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with burial in Forrest Grove Cemetery in Borden, IN. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial donations to Willeys Chapel United Methodist Church.
