Gary Heffernan
Gary Emil Heffernan, 61, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at his residence. He was retired from Reynolds Metals Company after 38 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Beverly Gay Quinn. He is survived by two daughters, Kimberly A. Moore and Vicki Olson; two sons, Michael and Jason Newkirk; his son-in-law, Dale "Beaver" Moore; and two grandchildren, Cory Moore and Jena Olson. "Gary was the consummate dad, friend and husband, always giving of himself and concerned with the needs of others over his own. He will be missed and loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing Gary." The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at family- owned Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday. Published in The Courier-Journal on 10/10/2003.
